Instant Coffee Espresso Ratio
Coffee ratio of 13 or 11.
Instant coffee espresso ratio. ½ tbsp instant coffee of your choice. I recommend experimenting trying different ratios side-by-side to determine your preferences for different roasts and brewing methods. This is Starbucks version of instant coffee but this isnt freeze dried coffee but is very finely ground coffee beans.
Our understanding and processes surrounding coffee have changed over the years. I still sometimes include instant coffee powder or instant espresso powder in my recipes though and am often asked why this is. Adding fresh milk to instant coffee makes it extra creamy.
The powder can be immediately rehydrated with any liquid which means that you can have a cup of hot coffee in seconds. Ahh yes the Golden Ratio. For example use 4 tbs of hot water to 4 tbs of instant coffee granules.
Instant coffee powder is freeze dried coffee not simply ultra-finely ground coffee beans. These are the ingredients. Here are the steps.
The ratio used most often is 12. 20g ¼ cup milk powder. Of instant espresso powder in a cup then add 6 to 8 oz.
If it is not strong enough for your liking add more espresso powder and taste it again. Follow the package instructions the first time you try a brand. This is my formula for a quick energy boost.
